Make Harrisons modified medium:
Pour 1 litre from the 10 litre drum (Part A) into a sterile culture bag.
Add 1000 litres of sterile seawater and mix thoroughly. Add 1 ml of Part B (contained in the 10 ml syringe). Now you've got 1000 litres of Harrisons modified medium
* Can I use Harrisons 1000x with diatoms ?:The
exclusion of silicate from our Harrisons 1000x concentrate means it is
unsuitable for use with diatoms (unless you add silicate to your
seawater yourself).
* #Formulation:Harrisons (1000x) is formulated as described by Harrison et al (1980) but is more concentrated, uses sodium hydrogen phosphate in place of B-glycerophosphate and excludes silicate.
